Printing Estimates and Supplements

The estimate presents the information on the customer, the vehicle, repairs, and notes. All applicable disclaimers also print on the estimate.

There are several different types of estimates that can be printed:

• Preliminary Estimate, Preliminary Supplement, Preliminary Supplement Summary
• Acts as a working estimate report, and might be incomplete
• Is used by the estimator to review the estimate/supplement prior to locking it
• The Preliminary Supplement includes all estimate lines up to and including this printed supplement
• The Preliminary Supplement Summary includes only the changes that were made in the supplement being printed. (i.e., the difference between the current supplement and the previously locked estimate/supplement)
• Estimate of Record, Supplement of Record, or Supplement Summary
• Acts as a complete/locked estimate that is given to the vehicle owner
• Once locked, it can only be changed through a supplement
• Only one Estimate of Record is permitted per workfile
• The Supplement of Record includes all estimate lines up to and including this printed supplement
• The Supplement Summary includes only the changes that were made in the supplement being printed. (e.g., the difference between the current supplement and the previously locked estimate/supplement.)
• Up to 99 supplements are permitted per workfile

If you choose to print an Estimate or a Supplement of Record, but the workfile only contains a Preliminary Estimate or Supplement, the program asks if you want to lock it. Saying yes will lock the estimate or supplement. If you do not want to lock it, but you still want to print it, you can print it as a Preliminary Estimate or Supplement.

Unrelated Prior Damage Estimate

It is used by estimators to document all of the damage on the vehicle that is not related to the claim. It can always be modified, and is never locked. Only one is allowed per workfile.

Related Prior Damage Estimate

It is used by estimators to document the damage on the vehicle that occurred prior to this claim but is related to the repair. It can always be modified, and is never locked. Only one is allowed per workfile.

To print an estimate or supplement report

This produces an Estimate or a Supplement. If you choose to print an Estimate or a Supplement of Record before the estimate or the supplement is locked, you must either lock it or cancel the print. Preview is disabled if you choose to print Estimates or Supplements for more than one workfile.

1. Open the workfile, and then select Print from the toolbar. The Workfile Print screen opens.
2. Select the checkbox next to the documents you want to print or preview.
3. Enter the number of copies you want. 1 is the default.
4. Select OK to print a paper copy.

   Select the Preview link next to the report to view it on the screen.

Note: If more than one report is selected, click that report's Preview link to display it on the screen.
